Please describe your preferred method of creating text and the layer effects to make it stand out.

I'm just starting out so I don't think I have a preferred method but I like adding the drop shadow to the text at a low opacity because it is subtle and people may not notice it but it makes the text much more readable.

In which way did you like results from using clipping masks for text and shapes? Do you think you will use them in future projects? Why or why not?

Clipping masks were very interesting.  I think I would use them in future projects but it would probably take a little more forethought to make them not look cheesy.

What was your experience using the pen tool to create selections? Were you able to modify your selection with the path adjustment tools?

I just can't manage the pen tool.  The bezier handles are not my friends.  I get the theory behind it.  I'm just not too good at turning it into magic.

What challenges did you experience using the shape tools? Did you create a custom shape? What was it?

I created a custom shape of a whale and it was terrible.

How will you use Smart Objects in future projects?

I don't know that I will use smart objects in future projects.  Seems unnecessary for the type of stuff I want to do.

What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now?

Using the { and } keys to change the size of my brush.
