Scott Coatsworth - Project 5

1. Describe how using Camera Raw to adjust your color settings, sharpening and vignetting features to improved your images.

Setting the white balance with the eyedropper tool is very handy.  I also like how the vibrance slider only really adjusts the saturation to the muted colors.

2. Describe how you will use the Preset feature in the future.

Well, it will be incredibly handy for a batch of images all taken on the same day under the same lighting conditions.

3. What was your intent for results by using the dodge, burn and sponge features?

Dodge tool I used to brighten the faces mostly, and to make the eyes stand out.  Also used the sponge on the irises to try to make them pop.  Didn't use too much of the burn tool but I can see where it would be useful, especially in places where the highlights are way too hot.

4. Explain how you decided which healing tools to remove imperfections of images.

I really just followed suit with the book lessons we did.  I tried to fine tune some of the options for things like the spot healing tool, with less than satisfying results.  I think it's just gonna take a lot of practice.

5. What challenges did you experience in the process?

I think I may have just answered this in the above question, but I found it extremely challenging to fine tune the healing tools to do what I wanted.

6. What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now?

Well in camera raw the P shortcut is essential.
