Scott Coatsworth - Project 6

How did you find masking different from selecting using the Refine Edge Tool?

Masking seemed more effective.

What advantages/disadvantages did you discover between masking versus
removing your background?

The background was still there if you "messed up" a bit.

Describe your experience using the Refine Edge Tool. Did it allow you to
more closely define your edges?

It was pretty incredible, especially with hair.

 What were your challenges?

I found it challenging to find the right settings on the refine edge tool.

What was your intended result you hoped to create with the puppet warp tool? What options do you see the puppet warp tool might offer you in future projects?

Puppet warp was cool.  It was hard to tell how many pins you needed to get a desired effect though and how much the pin themselves would actually "pin".

When would you use quick mask tool instead of the mask palette?

On small, easily defined parts of my composition.

Did you find the channels section of the book challenging? How do you think you might use it in future projects?

Channels stressed me out.  I still do not completely understand them, but I was able to use the book instructions to create "shadows".

What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now?
