Josh Parks - Project 9

Project 9

1. Comp Layers were a slight struggle for me at first because I didn't realize the little notepad icon was the way you applied the current styles to that layer comp layer. I kept overwriting my Up and Over layers with each other and couldn't keep them separate. They will definitely come in handy for covering multiple item states especially with a little help from JavaScript.
2. I think customizing things down to that level and utilizing the same pattern for all sorts of elements on your pages is a great way to build in a particular feel. The nice part is you don't have to come up with new ideas for every piece of your site and it just looks better having matching elements.
3. Placement and position were the hardest parts of integrating my web assets. I had to manipulate margins and padding a lot to get the pieces to fall into place where I wanted them.
4. My navigation does properly link to each page. Pasting the navigation into every page after ensuring it worked on one page was a great way to prevent any of the links from breaking. If you type out the navigation by hand on each page there's a good chance you will accidentally type a name wrong and ultimately break your link.
